Senior Consultant – Brussels Office (Tech and/or Defence Focus) (m/f/x)

Brussels
Full-time
Permanent employee

About the Position

We are building  one of Europe’s most distinctive strategic consulting platforms, combining deep expertise in German public affairs and communications with senior-level access across European and international policy-making. Headquartered in Berlin, we are opening a joint Brussels office to serve clients engaging with the EU institutions, NATO, and the wider Brussels ecosystem.

The Brussels Office supports clients across technology, defence, finance, energy, and health in navigating regulation, policy debates, and reputational challenges at EU and NATO level. Drawing on strong institutional networks, political intelligence, and digital communications, we help clients reach the right decision-makers at the right moment – with arguments that move policy and deliver measurable results.

To further strengthen this work, we are looking for a Senior Consultant (m/f/x) who takes ownership of projects and client relationships, contributes to business development, and plays an active role in building our Brussels presence.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day research and policy delivery for clients and projects, with a focus on the digital technology and/or defense sectors
  • Contribute to the growth and policy work of the Brussels Office
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, including at decision-maker level
  • Support public sector business development, including proposals for EU and NATO institutions
  • Build and expand your own network to strengthen our positioning and influence within the European institutions
  • Guide interdisciplinary project teams on strategic, policy, and organisational matters, and mentor junior colleagues
  • Analyse and strategically assess political, regulatory, and technological developments at European level, translating them into relevant insight for German and client-specific contexts
  • Represent the company to clients, partners, and institutions, and at relevant industry events

Your profile

  • A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in Brussels, ideally within or closely working with the European Commission or European Parliament, including policy work on technology, innovation, or regulation
  • A strong strategic grasp of the tech and/or defence policy space and its political, regulatory, and economic frameworks
  • Proven experience in EU and NATO policy, research, and client management
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work creatively and independently
  • Proven track record in policy analysis, client management, and ideally business development
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional presence with senior stakeholders
  • A structured, analytical, solution-oriented approach and high quality standards
  • Fluent English, plus excellent written and spoken command of one or more additional European languages, preferably German

What We Offer

  • Responsibility and room to shape projects at the intersection of policy, geopolitics, and business across Brussels, Berlin, and Europe
  • A dynamic, interdisciplinary team working on technology, defence, and other socially relevant questions
  • A varied, challenging role in a growing company
  • Long-term development prospects and space for entrepreneurship
